Hi all! Every time I do a Google search for an issue relating to chickens, this forum comes up, so I thought I'd join. My husband and I live in Portland, just bought our first home this summer, and got chickens even before we moved our furniture in. We have two five-month-old Easter Eggers who lay almost every day, and we just got a Rhode Island Red and a Silver-Laced Wyandotte who are supposedly about the same age but aren't laying yet (the Wyandotte looks a bit younger to me).
