Newbie in sc

Hi everyone. I am a recent transplant to SC. I bought 10 barred rock chicks in late March and I am just beginning to get eggs daily. What I will do with all these eggs I do not know but I'll figure it out. I've had chickens before but I'm sure there are still many things to learn. Right now I have a harem in seek of a master. I didn't think I would want a rooster but now have changed my mind so if anyone has a young friendly rooster they are looking to re-home and if they live near Blacksburg I might be interested so let me know. Meanwhile, thanks for letting me into the group. I look forward to reading all your posts.

Hi, it's always fun when the flock starts laying, isn't it? All those excess eggs are a nice way of meeting your neighbors

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
May I recommend you get an older cockerel that had been raised in a flock by other chickens? They tend to be much better birds.
