newbie in Utah, have been lurking for a week or so

Got my first ever chickens (6 baby chicks) less than 2 weeks ago.
One each:
  • buff orpington
  • rhode island red
  • black australorp
  • silver laced wyandotte
  • gold laced wyandotte
  • sapphire gem
The last 2 were substitutes, I wanted a white leghorn and a barred rock but there weren't any.

As a child I was terrified of chickens, so this should be....interesting.

You've all been so helpful that I figured it was time to join instead of just lurking!
