So we are all moved and as settled in as one can get. Still no chickens, but today we got 2 little ducklings! Every year the local co-op raffles off the ducklings that have been on displayat the county fair. Each winner gets 2 ducks, and even though we have won previous years we have never been able to keep the babies more than a couple days. They have always gone to my in-laws and they have always been eaten or attacked by some animal or another. I am looking forward to keeping our ducklings and keeping them safe from harm. We were told one was a mallard, but the other baby is still a mystery although it does look like the pics of Khaki Campbell ducklings that I found online. We are all looking forward to our new adventure and can't wait to find out what kind of ducklings we have. The kids are hoping to have baby ducks someday, but I haven't sexed the ducklings as of yet. So exciting! :-D
