    Hi,

I've currently got a broody runner duck so shoved 6 chicken eggs under her. A week in and she has been great so far, all 6 looking fertile. Anyone else experienced a duck raising chickens?

You might ask this question in our Ducks section? https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/ducks.42/

I am not experienced with Ducks however lots of members in our Ducks section seem to know it all!! :)

Great to have you aboard and good luck with that hatch! :)

I have read on BYC often of ducks brooding chicken eggs, and vice versa. Fortunately chicks do not have to nurse like mammals. Anything that keeps them warm and protected will do fine. Sometimes that also includes mama dogs/cats
