I have been lurking and asking a few questions and thats it time to say hey.
I live in Lexington, Ky and have always had critters. Right now I have a 8 year old bobtail male cat named "W", a one year old brussles griffon female named "Giada". I also havea 6 year old timbrado/roller canary. He is called "Bird". Recently I acquired 12 coturnix 6 week old hen and 1 male.
No eggs so far. I am also getting young Jumbo hens soon of laying age.
Years ago I fell in love with quail eggs. I had 24 in a callback pen to train my Gordon Setter "Dan". They laid a lot of eggs and when I needed to move I released them all. thats all I got for now. Jon

Wow. I've never seen a Gordon Setter.

Lots of Golden Setters but never a Gordon Setter. They would have been popular in Utah last year. Got pics?

    Welcome to the BYC community.

I love bobtail cats. I had a calico bobtailed female 20+years ago. They have the best personalities/ almost dog-like! Now I have a standard short haired "mouser." Typical cat and earns her keep; we love her dearly.

I hope you find all you are looking for here. Enjoy your hens.
