Hi everyone. I've been lurking on here for awhile and decided to finally go ahead and introduce myself. I'll start with the standard questionnaire.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes and no. My family had chickens when I was young, but I was never responsible for caring for them. I just remember loving this big black and white hen we had. As soon as we decided to get chickens I looked up breeds and as soon as I saw a picture I knew I had to get a BR!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 9 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have? 3 BR and 6 EE
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Every time I searched for something chicken related byc would not only come up, but would have the most useful information.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Reading, video games, fish tanks, anime
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Our family consists of myself, my husband, and our three dogs. We have two Boston Terriers, Rocky and Tonks, and a shepherd mix named Dakota. We also have a ton of fish. Chris, my husband, has a big tropical community tank and soon-to-be saltwater tank. I have fancy goldfish, bettas, and a dwarf puffer.
I suppose that's about it. I look forward to getting to "know" you all and sharing more about my chickens. I really never thought when I got them that I would be this excited about them. They truly are addicting!
