newbie just getting started

Brought my babies home tonight. Four Buff Orpingtons and two Black Australorps. Couldn't get Barred Plymouth Rock locally and didn't want to order by mail since the temps here are much cooler than average. After reading up on Astralorps, I believe they will be a great breed also.

You can't see all of them here as they are tucked in for the night.

You've got two great breeds. As much as I love Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed. Australorps have the same great qualities as the Orpingtons (cold hardy, calm and gentle, great lap pets, etc.) but are more heat hardy and even better layers than Orpingtons. Your chicks are adorable. Thanks for posting the pic. :o)
