Newbie needs confirmation this is an EE roo?

Cockerel for sure.

If your EE is white or white and black and ever starts to develop gold coloring in the hackle (neck feathers) or saddle (feathers near tail) - It is a boy.

Hi all you BYCers This is Mutti Cluckensheins just letting you all know that this roo Sqwaky went out to the horse stables with me yesterday to his new home! I stayed with him for 3 hours to let him get a chance to acclimate to the new surroundings/noises etc... Poor guy was in shock "wer'e not in Kansas any more". Finally started to venture away from me and check out the surroundings and there was a EE hen he was making eyes at too. Went back in the late evening to check on him and he was in a corner on the ground making that boy cluck sound. I felt SO bad. Wasn't thinking, he didn't know where to go to roost!!! So after I made sure he got food and drink, I placed him on a nice spot up high and turned off the lights. Waited to make sure he settled down then. We will see what today brings, as I am headed out now to check on him........KUDOS to beachchick for the wonderful job they did making him feel very comfortable with humans!

#1 He is a gorgeous roo, almost the spitting image of my "girl" and the same age as well! His hackles and saddle feathers are identical to Toby (was Ziva). Toby has a bit more red in his shoulders though.

#2 What a heart-warming outcome! Kudos to you for finding such a good home for him!

Day 3 update on Sqawky; when I went out today to see him and he was on the ground in the stall with my horse! He let me pick him up and we spent some quality time together. He hangs out and watches me and of course I talk my fool head off to him. I put up a 2X4 for "HIS SPOT" and place him up there everytime I leave, so he now knows whats his. He was eyeballing a cute fuzzy-butt hen today, but that was all. We shared a bit of sausage too. OH, and he is quiet as a lamb---go figure?? HA HA, the crowing will come back again, I know....
