Newbie needs help, confused on dates!!!

Hey Guys/Gals
Well this is my 1st post and I'm in need of some desperate help and I know I can rely on your advice. So here is my situation. My son and I built a homemade incubator and everything is going very well. But I failed to keep good records. On my eggs I wrote down 5/21/14 but here is my problem. I'm not sure if 5/21/14 is my hatch date or my lock down date!!!

What should I do? Can I candle the eggs and see how far along they are and go from there? What would be my best scenario?

If you can't figure out where they are by candling the eggs, I would go with 5-21 being hatch day and probably lock down on day 19 / 5-19 ... turning isn't that critical after day 15 or so, so if 5-21 was supposed to be lock down day instead of hatch day you are locking them down on day 16 instead of 18.
