Hi everyone, we're Bex & Kim in Massachusetts with 10 ducks and 8 chickens. Basically everything started as a hobby idea as Bex is a Limey and loves duck eggs and well eggs in general. BUT....... we've both fell in love with our birds and as we've met and talked to people, we're slowly planning this hobby into our own little business venture, depending on how our first year pans out, and how our birds lay.

We built our own coop out of scrap........ ex packing crates, parts of our own and our neighbours decking, estate and yard sales and basically anything we could scrounge LoL A kiddie pool is a duck pond, although we are planning a new pond system to cut down on draining & cleaning every couple of days. Right now we have 5 Pekins & 5 Khaki Campbell ducklings with 8 chickens, 3 white ones and 3 Rhode Island reds...... Now then we also have 2 oddballs...... the 2 tiny tots in our profile piccy...... first off we thought they were Sussex Hens (hehe Im from Sussex, near Gatwick Airport) but the midgets it seems have stopped growing and we have no idea what they are now

Anyways, enough waffling for now, thanks for letting us join and we will add photos asap in the right places!!!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Nice little flock you have!

You may want to post a picture of the "wonky neck," bird on "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures, thread." She/he may have wry neck - which can be from a mineral deficiency etc. You may also want to put "wry neck," in the search box and see if the description fits your duckling. I know it can be common in chickens but, I'm not knowledgeable about ducks.

TY for the advice, we give Hook vitamin supplements daily, the neck is slowly getting straighter and is a lot better than when we bought them

Mind you, once Hooky gets in the water, the loony bird is like a high speed torpedo
