Hi from NZ!

Although only just registered, I have been a frequent visitor of the site and the forum for some time. We recently acquired 4 1yr Old Barnelveders (beautiful) hens. We all love them (incl. the cats).

Found some excellent articles on here which have put my mind to rest already.
 
Thanks for all the comments, looks like a real friendly place. Avatar is due to the family having a penchant for blue fleeces when we lived in the UK, hence our new farm in NZ is called Blue Fleece Farm. Were bankers until a few months ago, now running a small block in the middle of nowhere in NZ. Have a couple of cats, a couple of cows and the hens.It is fantastic.

Barnevelders are pretty birds and lay such pretty eggs, you should enjoy having them.
