Hey guys! I'm Eri, and I live up in the San Juans. No chickens, but I just picked up a dozen Tibetan coturnix quail from Craigslist a few days ago. The neighborhood ordinances don't allow chickens/ducks, but quail aren't mentioned, and none of the neighbors mind so far. Cute little buggers, and while they're still pretty skittish they seem to be settling in.
Grew up helping my grandparents with their mix of ducks/chickens/geese and other assorted second hand animals. This is the first time I've had birds of my own though, it's been exciting. When I found out they were laying already I was beside myself! Since moving to their pallet home outside they have been on strike, but I figure its just a matter of time This seems like a great place to meet some fellow feather heads and get some good information, hope I can help contribute
