newbie question about eggs in the car?

We are planning on picking up some eggs tomorrow to hatch out. The problem is that we are going to a horse show also.
The eggs are coming out of an 'bator and will be in out car for several hours, how do we do this? Do we need heat packs, or will they be fine until we get home?
Weather is going to be in the 40's.
