newbie question on egg color

This is our first year with chickens. We have 3 Wellsummer roos, 5 wellie pullets and 5 red sex link pullets. Will the red sex link hens lay darker brown eggs because of the wellie roos or does the rooster have no influence over egg color?

No. what the hen breeds with has nothing to do with egg color.

No, the roo as nothing to do with what color of egg the hen will lay. He affects his daughters egg color not the hens he's breeding.

What do you think the offspring of that cross would look like? Would they retain the good egg laying qualities of the hen?
