Newbie Question

My coop is all wood and I use put hay on the floor and in the nest boxes.
Make sure the coop is dry and well ventilated and you won't have issues with odors no matter which bedding you use..

How often do you clean the sand out? just sand? Maybe sand on bottom and wood chips on top?

I clean the sand with a kitty litter scoop daily under roost....Twice a year I take out half the sand and replace with clean sand...Poopy sand gets put under my spruce trees..Poop I clean daily gets piled and added to my flower pots....
No, Just sand no shavings...Only shavings and straw in my nest boxes....
