Newbie Questions: chickens making concrete garden a mess, how do I stop this?

foreverlearning,

Thanks for your feedback, how many centimetres of sand should be inside the coop?

The farmer told me to spray poultry shield and diatom once a week inside/outside the coop to remove red termite.

Does this mean the sand can stay as is for 6 months and all I have to do is spray using shield and diatom once a week?

let me know you kind advice is very helpful.

Thanks
Shebs

I have about 50 bags total in all my areas. I don't replace at all I just add a bag or two every 6 months to what is already there. I scoop everyday to keep the area clean. I have mine 10.16cm deep because it is easier for me to scoop and still soft enough if one of my large breeds decide to jump off a roost instead of flying off (I have some high roosts as well as normal height). I know nothing about termites because I have never had to deal with them so I can't advise about them. I however do not spray my sand for anything that I do deal with because the sand is dry and everything here likes wet.
