We are finishing our coop and getting ready for our hens. They will have an 8'x4' run as well as about 500 sq feet of unplanted garden space that they will be in most of the time, in the coop/run when we're not home and inside the coop at night. So, do we need to put a water and feeder both inside the coop and in the run or in just one?

my bin feeder is built in between the studs of my coop. Currently I'm using a water bucket with nipples on the bottom, also hanging inside the coop. Pop doors stay open all day so they have access to both.

I am in the planning stages of a permanent 'water tank and pvc pipe' nipple watering system, I just haven't decided on a storage tank. Leaning toward a food grade plastic barrel, but I want one that's not white to help keep down the algae growth

I said all that to say this, it really doesn't matter in or out as long as they have access to it when they want/need it. Although I do understand the concern for not taking up floor space if you'd have both sitting instead of hanging
