Newbie questions

Hi, new flock supervisor here. I’m the proud mom of 6 beautiful little ones. I have the basics down and am loving watching my little ones grow and develop their personalities. I Do have have a couple of questions Though. -
1. I know what kind of feed to give them but are there any brands of feed that are better than others, or any Brands to avoid?
2. My second question is about culling. I know there are times when putting them down is kinder than letting them suffer. I’ve read a lot about this but nobody mentions how to do this this or what to do.. I hope I never have to but I also know that things happen and want to be prepared to do things as gently and pain free as possible.
Any advice on either would be great!
