Hello everyone! I've been lurking here for quite awhile in anticipation of getting my own flock started and it has finally happened!

I am the proud new mama of 1 Rhode Island Red, 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes, 2 Light Brahmas, 2 Sicilian Buttercups, and 3 Buff Orpingtons. My little fuzzballs just turned 1 week old yesterday and seem to be thriving. My human kids are all grown up and I think my peeps have become my new "little babies" lol!

I would also like to totally agree with the Chicken Math post. I went to the feed store last Saturday to buy a max of 6 chicks and as you can see I came home with 10. This morning I told my fiancé that I might see if I can get a couple of week old Easter Eggers this weekend. He just smiled and rolled his eyes. He knows that we're headed for a huge flock because I just cant help myself and we have the room so why not? LOL
Anyway, It's a pleasure to be here and be a new chicken mama

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining.) Very few BYC members are immune to "chicken math." If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your new flock.

Thank you! I've been taking tons of pictures already. Trying to figure out how to upload them from my iPhone. It is amazing how fast the little girls are growing & developing their own personalities.
Well, I'm off to the feed store for some more supplies -and maybe a couple new fuzz balls lol

I've never tried to upload pictures from my phone on to here but maybe if you use the Search box in the upper left part of the screen, you'll find some help. Good luck, we like seeing pictures!
