Hi everyone! I'm so excited to learn as much as possible from everyone on here! I am new to chicken raising and have 8 RIR who will be 20 weeks old on Saturday. I can only tell 4 apart so only four have names so far....Gretchen, Theresa (named after Theresa from The Real Housewives of New Jersey because she's always getting into trouble), Rosemary, and Naomi. I must admit, initially I wanted chickens so we could have access to fresh organic eggs but I had no idea how much we would fall in love with these birds! My two year old daughter adores them and calls them "her girls". <3

I'm with you. I got chickens for eggs and now I keep chickens for pets!
