Newbie Seeking Coop Suggestions; EDIT: Show Me Your Doghouse Coops!

Alright. Eglus are definitely something I would want, but it's out of my budget range right now... So I am looking into reusing dog houses and altering them for chicken use, at least until I can afford the luxury of a more expensive coop. Anyway, I'm a big believer in recycling... so if it works out in the long run, even better!

I want to see some examples and pictures of people who have made runs out of old dog houses! I just picked a large plastic one up today that I found listed on Freecycle (it took some ingenuity to get it into my Beetle... haha). I do a lot of Freecycling and Craigslisting, so I feel confident that I might be able to make a decent coop for around 3 chickens for next to nothing. At least one to get me started until I have the budget for one of those fancier ones.

Advice, tools used, supplies used, dimensions, amount of comfortable chickens, and pictures wanted!

Thanks!

If you do a quick search you'll find lots of pictures users have posted of their doghouse coop conversions. I think there is a Mother Earth chicken coop that calls for a plastic doghouse.
