I am a newbie to chickens but am really enjoying my little bantams. I am debating trying some meaties but am not sure. I live in a housing tract without a great deal of space and I'm not sure how much space they would need. Also, how does one go about finding a processor. I know that there would be no way I could do that myself. I like the idea of knowing what my chicken ate and how they were treated so I think I would like to try a batch and see if it is something I would want to do. I am only interested in meat for my family, not selling so how many should I do? I don't know if this is a good idea at all but I am playing around with it. Any advice would be welcome.
