Hi! Welcome! I'm new here too. Before I have chickens I've read they can live until 15-20 years old but now between posts, comments and others experiences I don't find out like that's the usual thing, I wonder how old were the ones who died from old age if you can share.

A lot depends on breed as some live longer than others, but the general lifespan is 6-10 years, depending on the diet and care they are getting. Some live longer, some die sooner.

On BYC, I've heard of a couple making it to 15 years, but that's pretty rare.
