Hello guys! I'm leah and i'm from MO! I am a BYC farmer with over around 40+ mixed breed farm yard chickens (mostly easter eggers and barrel rock and leghorn and banty mixes) and they are my pets/at home laying hens up untill just this year when we started getting dozens of eggs a day we decided to sell eggs and then discovered that ALOT of people want eggs! and got to selling 4-5 dozen eggs or more a day and decided we needed to bump it up add some more brown egg layers to the gals & bought 5 New hampshire red hens and 5 barreled rock hens!
Also we have ducks and turkeys too and raise A few ofthose!
we crossed a select few chickens this year for brown egg laying chickens and set some eggs and had 7 chicks (2 of the seven are cockerals) then with the 10 we bought we have 17 total chicks this year! Every chicken we have is very loveable and every one of them has been handled since the day they were born.
In additon to my chicken/turkey/duck love <3 I also have 12 horses 3 dogs and 1 goat and a cockitiel!

Red bearded rooster and our oldest hen we have! still going good but did go blind in one eye over the years good ol gal!.

Okay now tell me this one though!! I have no silkie bantys and a few years ago I somehow got a silky feathered chicken and a few years later out of that silky feathered chicken I got another so now I have two silky feathered hens and i'm not really sure how that they got silky feathers ?

I will post the new baby chickens pictures later maybe!
I hope I can just get right on in here with you guys and share and learn more about these guys! and work on rasing better meat and egg laying chickens and some bantys!
