Newbie to Chickens and Forum!

Hi! I'm Kim aka, flspnr. Back in June, I got the inspiration to get a couple of chickens. At this point, I have three, Peep, Repeep, and Snowflake (snowflake was added later, and already named when I got her.) I have no idea what breeds they were - I just wanted bantams and didn't care at first, but now I really would like to know what they are. I found out about this forum while searching for more information on chickens. I also have 3 dogs, 5 cats, and a husband who usually puts up with all of them.

. Just saw your post. Sounds like you are enjoying your chickens. Yes, I believe that you should know the breed, just for the fun of it. There is a place on this forum to post pictures so that others can figure out the breed. Of course, they could be crosses as so many farm chickens are, then we would just make a guess. Isn't this site great for beginners? I love it. Best of luck!

Thanks cambriagardener! This is a wonderful place for newbies - there is so much information here. I will post some pics and ask around about the breeds when I'm at 10 posts - trying to get there now.
