We have always had chickens and years ago.We had a broody hen and raised a few of our own.
We recently decided.
To incubate some of our eggs from our current flock which is only sixhaens and one rooster. The rooster is a lavender and hens are 2 lavender, 4 isa brown, and 1 buff? And 1 black no idea..
our eggs are day 21, so far one dark chick several hatching.
years ago we had like 200 hens with roosters for every 8-10 for blute eggs we sold to a monopoly...glad we are out of that. Now hens for pur own.
