Hi! I live in Newark, California and I am really excited about raising chickens. I have two children, 11 and 16 years of age. I have been interested in chickens for quite a long time, but I finally got my husband motivated in it too.
I have spend time researching online and would like to start with Reds and Buff Orpington. I just spoke to a person at River Town Feed in Petaluma and might pick the chicks next week.
If any one knows of a place much closer which also sells pullets and/or chicks, please let me know.
