Welcome! Glad you didn’t listen to the nay-sayers. I am new to chicken keeping also, just a few weeks in and I LOVE it!!! I can’t believe how much joy I get from spending time in and working on the coop.

Be for warned, they don’t tell you about this “chicken fever” that is super catchy. You start with just a few birds and the next thing you know you start wanting more LOL
