my name is tom I'm from Marshfield Mass hope I'm posting this the right way. I currently have 9 chickens I have 2 buff orpingtons 2 Rhode Island reds 2 barred rocks and 1 French copper marans. This is my first round raising hens and am totally loving it. I have 2 dogs a choclate lab and a basset hound and a cat named Lucy. I am also into fish keeping currently just a 180 gal fish water tank. I have a 4 year old son who loves his job of helping me to get eggs. Looking forward to meeting some new people who are like me and love taking care of their animals.

Tom you are doing things just fine. Welcome to Backyard chickens. It's great when kids get involved. If you put your state name in the search box, it will pop up so you can check out your state thread. Hopefully you will find some BYCERS near you.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I've been an animal lover since I was a kid. My son is 4 and loves to help whether it's getting eggs, telling me where he sees dog poop, or holding the hose while I do a water change. Hopefully it will help with responibilty down the road. I'm not really a computer person I don't own one so anyone who could help me to navigate and use he site better would be a huge help. Thanks
