Now that i have a bit more time...
My duck yard for 2 is about 6ftx12 ft. They have a large plastic wading pool, the center part is seeded with grass. a planter along the back fence with Joshua grass, morning glory, autumn fern, and clematis. the far right end is dirt and has their house, a dogloo dog house. i have pine shavings in their house, which they do use sometimes.
The back and far left walls are wood fence, 6 ft tall. under the fence someone long time ago poured cement. theres a 3 ft cement wall under the wood fence.
The other two sides are poultry netting, buried 8 inches except at the gate. at the gate I buiried a wall of cement paving stones a foot.
There is now netting over the complete top.
Having done that, I don't have much concern with predators. Raccoons every 2-3 yrs. cats, squirrels. Thats pretty much it for us. We don't get stray cats in our yar, the dogs and our cats scare them off. Our cats are afraid of the ducks.
If you could do a huge secured yard with a big wading pool or two, and a continuous feeding system it might work. Ducks are sociable though so they would like yyou around.
