Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!
I am actually in north Florida, a small town called green cove springs. Moved here from the city so wild animals altogether is new (and quite interesting) to me.
This flock of chickens was just kinda here when I moved here. They free roam the entire neighborhood (we live on a dirt road) but spend most of their time on my property. They sleep in the trees. There are 2 roosters and several hens maybe 6 or 7. They like to sneak and eat my dogs food that is outside. So I started feeding them cracked corn (to save the dog food!) Well now I have hens laying eggs, found a second nest yesterday on side of house. The hens aren't moving at all don't know if I'll be successful at moving them.
This is going to be interesting! I think I'll try to build a coop for them, any suggestions?
I don't want to cage them at all though since they are free birds!!!
just wana give hens a safe place to lay eggs. Which I am gonna look for info on that throughout this site.
Thanks again I'm gonna explore the site!
