Newbie With Ducklings!

The metzer farms ducks I received had leg bands on them as well. Also, make sure the chick starter you are feeding in non medicated. The ducks eat a lot more than chicks and will get too medicated and get them sick. Also, niacin as a supplement in their water or sprinkled on their food will be good for the long run as well. I use a powder I found on Amazon. You can also finely chop romaine for them, it's natural with niacin and now all my poultry love their treats. You can give it to them in their bath time water as well, just remember to thoroughly dry them and put them back under the heat lamp right after. Also, I like make the water warm for them as well.

I looked and they said it will come off itself between 7-14 days or just to pull it off

I read that for the tape. Pretty sure these are the bands. My receipt that came on the lid of the box said to take it off within three days.
@chwychuro how did you take them off? Cuticle cutters, breaking it,etc?

That's weird, I got the tape. I think cuticle cutters will work. I wonder why you got bands and they maybe should have included how to get the bands off.

Anyway u could post a picture?

Here's the band.

I ordered two welsh harlequins from Metzger and they were shipped two day priority. They were hatched on the 8th and the post office called me at 3:30 IN THE MORNING on the 10th to tell me they had arrived. They were closed but let us in to pick up our ducks. I was shocked. The peeping was probably driving them nuts, lol!

That's crazy my post office called us at 9 in the morning right when they opened. I'm so glad nothing happened to your ducklings, my ducklings and everyone else's ducklings. I was so nervous because my post office is know for messing up packages. :fl
I'm happy they are here! I can't stop watching them and playing with them!
