Hey guys

I'm normally on here for my little quail but at the weekend a nice guy gave me 8 pairs of american fantails. I've only ever kept quail, chickens and a parrot so not really sure what I'm doing so any advice would be great. At the minute they are in my aviary but I was told I can let them out during the day after a while. Any help on nesting, feeding etc would be good

-You can put them in with your quail:) im actually looking for quail to put in with mine.
- I feed my pigeons chicken layer feed, bird seed and some times ceral.
- Pigeons breed all year is what i was told but I have no clue, i just got mine a few weeks ago.
- I would wait at least a month before letting them out. although my pigeons got out after a week and stayed, I was told they wouldnt. but they did. (i Know they are homers. they were my friends and he raced them.)

That's great thanks. A few people have said not to put them in with bob whites? Any opinions guys?

I have also heard that but have no idea. I have never owned bob's. just courtnix (spelling? and is that even what they are called?) haha

I keep coturnix with my pigeons

They make a good clean up crew for spilled feed!

I've never had to trim tails to breed them. They just did it anyway. They also say the same about the fluff on cochins, but I never trim that either.
