Newbie with first failed batch

Hi all,

Currently 20 days down the line with 6 duck eggs and currently down to the last one. The all went rotten and started leaking. This one doesn't seem to be doing much better!

I'm devastated and knocked in confidence. Thought we had done everything right..

Want to try again but don't know if can put me and my boys through it again..someone tell me some lovely stpries so I have the want to try again,

'Thank you so much!! I needed something positive!! I didn't start well when me eggs had a longer journey than expected.. but we have been misting and everything! I think it's my incubator at fault. My friend has hatched from the same set of eggs and she got 4 out. So I'm going to borrow hers if I'm brave enough xx

lots of good info here. Don't beat yourself up...shipped eggs are always an iffy proposition.

There's a video? I'm normally such a good animal person, I hate this failure!! And the rescue duck keeps looking at me disappointedly x

the video kiki has will show you how to navigate the site. give your duckie a mirror and and a plush toy to snuggle. how old is your rescue duck? what breed?

It happens. I put 17 eggs in an incubator only one hatched and it was a Crossbted chick I didn't need .so don't feel bad
it happens
go buy some little ducklings for your duckling.
