Hi, we have our coop framed up and have ran into a little issue regarding the placement of our nesting box!
I am horrible at math and cant believe i did this!
Due to a slight miscalculation- the space we have to work with is for the nest box will be 12" or 13" tall in the front where the hens enter and ill probably need to slope it downwards a bit at the back - I swear i thought i had at least 15" or more...

so my question is:
would a standard sized chicken be able to do her magic in an external nest box that was 2.5 feet wide, 12 inches deep, and 12"-13" tall where she enters the box sloping down to 10" or 9"inches tall in the back? what is the absolute shortest a nest box can be and still be functional?
We have a BO, Australorp, BR, and a Sussex...
Thanks!
