Newbie with questions in St. Marys GA

Good morning! I have another question that I was unable to find an answer for. I have seen these strange bugs in the straw inside the coop and in the area I keep the straw bale. They look almost like a small roach, but they fly. I clean my coop every day without fail so I don't know why these things are in there! I will sometimes see them in the run area but they quickly scurry into the back yard. We live in Southeast Georgia, so don't know if that helps in figuring out what they are? Please help, I just want to make sure these aren't harmful to my chickens or the eggs.

That's hard to say without identifying them, but honestly, I doubt it. They almost sound like what we call german roaches (long and thin) or some sort of beetle. Do your chickens eat them? Have you checked inside the hay bale to see if that is the source?

Best bet would be to get a few good pics of them and make a thread in our Predators and Pests forum.
