Hi all...
My babies are 2 months old and I have been addicted to this site since before I got them. I am reading a lot, but am a little confused about a few things.
First... my babies currently live in the house... they are bantams and I have 3. I take them outside every day for several house and they just love running in the fenced in garden. They call when they are ready to go back inside... which is so cute!
Now to my questions...
1. dusting... I see them play in the dirt, but should I be putting something in their cage... or specifically put on them to make sure they don't get mites, lice, etc.? The garden isn't necessarily dry so they are not getting into much dry dirt.
2. what meds should I be treating them with regularly? These guys are pets and I very much want to keep them healthyl. They are eating their baby chick food now... and will be moving on to the next leve of food soon. They eat well and love cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, bread, worms, bugs, applesauce, "chicken", hard boiled eggs, tuna, and that is about all I have tried so far. They just love to see their special little blue bowl coming to their cage... they know it is snack time.
I really need to know what to keep on hand to keep them happy and healthy as they have become a very important part of our family.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thank you...
D
