Hi I have just started this whole new chicken deal.. I'm in love already. It's been about 8 months now and I only have 4 chickens.. they are straight line silkies.. I think I have two roosters and two hens

Welcome to BYC!

So glad you could join us!

Silkies are so cute!:

Flo (he was suppose to be a girl, hence the name)

Mavis, she suffered from head trauma, which is why she stays inside

The silkie flock, including Azul, Princess, Flo, Cole, and Toto

Oh.. ok great I only have one crowing..I also have 11 eggs and daily they add more but no one sits on them. What should I do?

Here is what I did. I collected some eggs every day and marked the date on them with pencil. I stored them in a cool, dark, safe area in the basement. When a silkie decided it wanted to go broody (they'll go on a corn cob if they have to) then you can slip the newest eggs under them. This way there aren't any old eggs and no risk of the eggs being broken.

I hope this helps. Best of luck!
