Hello, my husband and I love birds.we have always had chooks and on the weekend we picked up our new birds ( Breeding pair of Pilgrim Geese ), to join our small farm. This is a new experience for us. We have been coming to BYC for a few weeks now and thought it a good idea to join. We have an array of different chooks, including, Cochin, Australorps, Langshan, Light Sussex and a Coronation Sussex. I hand raised the Cochin from 1 day old. Her name is Coochie.
We are happy to be here and are sure to learn a thing or two about keeping birds. :)

G'day, and welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a nice mix of breeds. Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Sounds like you have a lovely flock! I love the name Cochie. Seems perfect for a cochin!

I hand raised all my birds. They are so sweet. Their names are Gracie, Daisy, Rosie, Quanie and Sunny. Gracie is my favorite. She is just too friendly!
