Thanks for the nice welcome!
We started out trying to incubate 24 eggs through our local 4H, thought it would be a good experience for the kids. We only had 3 hatch. Of those 3, 1 died. The 2 that I have left are white Leghorns. But they were hatched from brown eggs, so I'm assuming that they are a cross. I didn't want to go through this whole process of starting a flock with only 2 chicks, so I went to a friends farm & purchased 7 more chicks. I have a grey Silkie, a buff orpington, & 5 Americana's?? They all seem to be cross breeds except for the Silkie. Anyhow they are all about 2 1/2 months old. I'm pretty sure that I have at least 2 roosters...as they are starting to make attempts at doodle doo'ing
