Hi to all! Very excited to begin raising chickens. My husband and I have talked about it for years.
We did it! We got 6 cicks from Tractor Supply.
Right now they are in a small concrete room off the basement..I built them an area that it warm and dry. It's still cold they are doing well with the heat lamp.
I don't know what breed they are!!oh
They are very sweet. And growing fast. They are 3 weeks today.

Welcome!

Aaaw, too cute!

I recommend a visit to the Learning Centre; lots of good tips there: https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

When the time comes, you might want to post pictures on the Breed & Gender Forum: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

You might want to also pop in and say hello on your local thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you ‘Find your State’s thread.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
