Hello All. I am new to this farm stuff. We have 2 Pekin ducks, 3 Rhode Island Reds, 3 mini donkeys, 2 horses and 3 Goats!
One of our ducks has been sitting on a nest of about 12-14 eggs for at least 23 days. I found one egg under her today with a crack and open shell but baby still in sack and not moving.. hoping others will hatch safely. Anything I need to know? Help please.

Welcome!

Sorry that I know nothing about Ducks or hatching them but this is a link to the Duck Forum: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks and this one to the Incubating & Hatching Eggs Forum: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/5/incubating-hatching-eggs you should get a response to your question if you post on either of these.

Good luck!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also pop in and say hello on your local thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you ‘Find your State’s thread.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
