Urban Backyard chicken keeper in Wisconsin. I hatched 26 chickens and ended up keeping the original 2 first hatched that I assisted and fixed some crooked toes on. They are sisters Ameraucana mix. I also have a gold and a cream Brabanter hens and another spotty babie hen from the farm I gave all my other chickens to. The Ameraucana mix started layin in July then one of the hens stopped laying middle of September after a heat wave, not sure why.
Working on weatherizing my coop.
I bought my eggs from this site and found a fountain of useful information and helpful people with hatching and coop building. I am a work at home RN. Love this site.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
