Hi! I've lived with chickens most my life but was recently given 7 mixed breed ex regular layers to help maintain my garden followed by 1/2 dozen fertile eggs. As lucky would have it no clucky hens so I DIYed and incubator, 1 infertile egg 4 freshly hatch chicks and and thankfully a lucky hens
so currently I have 7 chickens &4 chicks

Breeds are silky, rhode island red and others unknown
I discovered BYC researching egg development. Bless google for sending me to the right place.
I've got cat, dogs and chickens.
I discovered BYC while building an incubator about 4weeks ago and figured I should join to say thank you and learn more about chickens.​
