Thanks everyone, I bought this even though I was skeptical. I'm guessing I can get it for a better price in larger amounts at tractor supply. This was $9 for a 5 pound bagView attachment 1787725
When they get bigger, you can buy a 50# bag. It will last you a year or more.
I have about three granite counter fabricators near me. I can gather all the granite grit I would ever need for free. They toss their waste in large dumpsters and don't care what I take.

Free grit is great if you can get it. Definitely check out your local quarries. But I pay around $6 a bag for 50 pounds from my feed store.
