Beccasbantams
In the Brooder
hello everyone,
My name is Becca and I live in the uk with my husband, four children and many animals.. snake, cat, dogs an owl and the best of the lot my small flock of Pekin Bantams!. I have had bantams for quite a few years with the exception of a break for a while after a horrific rodent attack on my entire flock which after that I didn’t want it to happen again and refused to get any until the beginning of last year my husband came home and said he had got me a pair of Pekin x bantams so in fear of the same thing happening again I kept just that pair until I decided this year I wanted to start hatching and maybe breeding my own as I love my Pekins and everything about them!, and I wanted some that would be more friendly as the pair I have were already a couple of years old before we got them and don’t really like people, so we bought 10 chicks 4 of which are still in the brooder but the other 6 spend there days walking around the garden and jumping through the patio doors seeing what crumbs the kids have left for them in the kitchen and trying to steel there lunch! And spend there evenings trying to roost on the back of the sofa next to the owl! Trust me it looks as ridiculous as it sounds!
Anyway that’s a little bit about me... well my chicks anyway.
I thought I would join the forum as if I ever have and chicken questions google usually brings me here!! And I love reading all the posts from people who love chickens as much as me!
