(1) We are new to chicken keeping only had them since April

(2) We had 8 chickens but one got poorly and had to be put down then we got 4 1 day old chicks for one that had gone broody but only three of those survived.

(3) The original 8 were hybrids the 4 new chicks 2 were RIRs and 2 are Wyandotte

(4) The very best thing about keeping our own chickens is undoubtedly the awesome eggs.

(5) I like to read, knit and play silly games on the computer.

(6) We also have three Border Terriers

(7) I found BYC when I was researching online about chickens when one of ours went poorly. I think it's a very informative site also very helpful.

welcome! I had a friend in Cali who did agility with her Border Terriers. They are awesome dogs!

We started with chickens in March, so newbies too.
