Hi, Am jdankx ...glad to join you guys here on BYC. Am here to learn more about chickens

I currently have 15 weeks 92 golden comets that i'm expecting eggs from next week.. I was told red stars can lay as early as 16 weeks but they don't look grown enough for egg laying to me.

I also have 11 weeks 25 Plymouth Rock pullets.. I was told their laying starts 18 weeks.

Once again my name is Joshua but u can call me JDankx or Josh.

Hey Josh, don't be disappointed if the Golden comets take 18-19 weeks to start laying and 18 weeks sounds ab it early for Plymouth rocks, I would have thought closer to 22 weeks for them to start laying. I told someone before that chickens don't read any of the books that have been written about them. The one thing you have going for you is that it is spring and the days are long enough. Good luck with the large amount of chickens that you have and yeah lets us see some pictures of where you keep them.
