Hey Josh, don't be disappointed if the Golden comets take 18-19 weeks to start laying and 18 weeks sounds ab it early for Plymouth rocks, I would have thought closer to 22 weeks for them to start laying. I told someone before that chickens don't read any of the books that have been written about them. The one thing you have going for you is that it is spring and the days are long enough. Good luck with the large amount of chickens that you have and yeah lets us see some pictures of where you keep them.
Yes I will upload their pics here. I think 18 -19 weeks will be it for my red stars...they don't look grown enough to be laying soon. Thanks I thought the Plymouth Rock would even lay early than my red stars because I checked one of them pevic bones and they're one finger apart at 11 weeks.

Hi Josh! Welcome to BYC! We're glad you joined us! :frow
While it's true that those breeds "can" lay that young, they usually don't. As Ted mentioned, it's usually closer to 20-22 weeks.

Thanks, Y'all very nice here
..I can't wait to see my first egg...the few weeks left seems like a year to me.

Here are the pictures of my chickens... Is there something wrong with them or my chicken house?? Any ideas or suggestions?? Help pls
